C2 Centre of Excellence set for Netherlands as NATO pushes force transformation brief

Article Abstract:

Netherlands might host a NATO Centre of Excellence ( CoE) for joint Command & Control (C2), as the Memorandum of Understanding to formalize the establishment of the centre is scheduled to be signed in early 2006. The new C2 CoE is one of the multiple CoEs that are being established under the aegis of NATO's Allied Command Transformation (ACT) in Norfolk, Virginia.

Forcing agent: ACT shows NATO members way to transformation

Article Abstract:

The NATO at its Prague Summit, had made some changes to its funding rules for transformation of the Allied forces by proposing the Allied Command Transformation (ACT). An assessment of the Command's successes or otherwise as the declared 'forcing agent for change' and on how the transformation process is being adapted to the current situation is presented.

Russia and Ukraine announce intentions to join NATO-led Operation 'Active Endeavour'

Article Abstract:

Russia and Ukraine will join the NATO-run Operation 'Active Endeavour' in the Mediterranean in early 2006. The Operation 'Active Endeavour' is NATO's response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks against the US with the objective to detect, deter and protect against terrorist activity.
