China, France hold joint naval exercises

Article Abstract:

China and France held eight hours of joint naval exercises on 16 March 2004 concluding a five-day visit by French warships to Qingdao, the base of the North China Sea Fleet. It was the first joint maritime and most comprehensive military exercise held between the Chinese navy and its foreign counterparts.
