Cooperative engagement capability: Provides combat capability through connectivity

Article Abstract:

The first operational deployment of the Co-operative Engagement Capability (CEC) was assessed by the commander Carried Strike Group (CSG). The future of the U.S. Navy when the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) and next generation multi-mission destroyer (DD (X)) will become operational under FORCE-net, which is the operational construct and architectural framework for naval warfare in the joint, information age, is discussed.

Co-operative engagement capability

Article Abstract:

The co-operative engagement capability (CEC) is changing the face of the United States Navy ships, aircraft, and Marine expeditionary units. CEC intends to help the battle group to take advantage of individual sensor, weapon or combat direction system enhancements and to make the resulting capabilities available to all participating units in a modern, high-speed network.

Mine hunting & mine clearing revisited

Article Abstract:

Mine counter-measures are a prerequisite for the naval planners for ensuring success to shore, either in order to conduct amphibious operations, or for land attack or for keeping a steady flow of supply towards friendly ports. The naval planners require new tools and techniques in order to adapt to the emerging requirements of mine hunting and mine clearing.
