DCN opens its doors in Lorient and Brest

Article Abstract:

A highly informative programme was executed at DCN, the Shipyard, displaying a very high degree of professionalism and enthusiasm throughout from corporate headquarters in Paris, DCN Lorient or DCN Brest. The active visits to ships in dockyard were nothing new to the naval experts, but the visits to the ships under construction were highly fascinating, revealing a lot of news, even to naval experts.

DCN hopes Gowind surface combatants will propel market for corvette exports

Article Abstract:

London-based DSEi defense systems and equipment exhibition scheduled for 13-16 September 2005 will be used by DCN a French-based naval shipbuilder to market its Gowind family of corvette-type surface combatants for the export market. DCN has the designs for three Gowind variants ready to the point where the ships could actually be built for a customer.

DCN opens its doors in Lorient and Brest

The media were given a familiarization tour of the DCN facilities at Lorient and Brest to acquaint them with the 'new DCN'. The details of a well-organized and informative program are presented and while the French press was widely represented, and the international media's presence was limited.
