Elections bring Canada closer to US

Article Abstract:

The victory of the Canadian Conservative party to win powers for the first time in 12 years in 2006, replacing the minority Liberal government, has made President Bush pleased, that he has at least one neighbor in the right-wing camp, despite the recent wrapping up of the left-wing victories in the Americas. However the Tories won only 124 seats in the 308-seat legislature, and would be forced to seek a coalition with either of the two smaller parties in parliament, the New Democratic Party or the Bloc Quebecois.
