Endurance test

Article Abstract:

The report of the Iraq Study Group shows that the U.S. should not anymore fight long wars and should withdraw from the war with Iraq, as the country is facing a lot of difficulties in the war due to the growing conventional wisdom that makes political progress in Iraq almost impossible. The analysis show that despite of being successful in long wars, America needs to summon the reserves of their strength and endurance to last for a longer time against their enemies.

A split on strategy?

Article Abstract:

A translation of a communique from al-Qaida's second-in-command, Ayman al-Zawahiri, to the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was released by the White House on October 11, 2005. The administration chose to publish the letter so quickly, indicates a White House scrambling to bolster its poll numbers and a hopeful belief that the letter reveals an enemy in some disarray.
