Mines challenges our maneuver

Article Abstract:

Mines pose a challenge to the future of marine forces, sea operations and amphibious abilities. Improved mine countermeasures (MCM) are necessary to support and complement the MV-22 Osprey tilt-wing aircraft, advanced amphibious assault vehicles (AAAV), air cushioned landing craft (LCAC) and other maritime defense technologies. Innovations involving the AAAV and LCAC must integrate MCM technology for greater military superiority.
