Greater capability for Army logistics

Article Abstract:

The 21st Theater Support Command (TSC) which has approximately 9,000 personnel around Europe is deep into a transformation campaign that would result in a much leaner, multifunctional, and expeditionary combat service support formation. As part of the transformation, the 21st TSC and Army Materiel Command have joined forces to develop a support concept using the newly formed Army Field Support Brigade-Europe (AFSB-E) as both a sustainment brigade and as the conduit into the national maintenance and supply functions of AMC.

The CLOE program: Self-diagnosing and reporting vehicles improve Army logistics

Article Abstract:

The common logistics operating environment (CLOE) program moves the Army one step closer to achieving its vision of a rapidly deployable force that is sustained through a process of predict-and-preempt logistics. The CLOE will automate equipment status reporting and provide a direct, real-time logistics-operating picture to planners and commanders.
