House fight with EU might stall Navy, Marine programs

Article Abstract:

The introduction of bipartisan legislation by the House lawmakers will hamper the European Union's (EU) plan to lift a long-standing arms embargo against China, the Navy's VXX presidential helicopter program and the international Joint Striker Fighter (JSF). The bill might prevent any European company that sells arms in Beijing from doing business with the Pentagon in the future and might also stop the existing trans-Atlantic production lines and the Lockheed Martin Corp.'s JSF.
