Article Abstract:

The imperatives of the real military leadership that cannot be done without are described. Some of the imperatives required for real leadership include moral worthiness, thorough responsibility, high competence, an impeccable example, dedication to highest standards and noble service, and physical and moral courage.

'Selling' the U.S. military presence in Japan

Article Abstract:

Japan is paying some $5 billion a year to support American military personnel based in that country. This arrangement should be reversed, and the US should pay for its own military bases, in Japan and anywhere else in the world.

ATM in the military: not a money giver, but a moneymaker; there is a possible solution to bandwidth requirements

Military online networks are finding that bandwith is in short supply, and there are plans to adopt asynchronous transfer mode technology for both near-term and future networks. The advantages of the technology are described.
