India/UK Round Table

Article Abstract:

The Aero India air show, which was held in Bangalore was attended by United Kingdom delegation consisting of UK Minister for Defense Procurement, Lord Bach of Lutterworth, Alan Garwood, the head of UK's Defense Export Services Organization and Air Marshal C.R. Loader, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief HQs Strike Command Royal Air Force. The UK delegation was in India to promote closer relationship between India and UK and discuss the opportunities for the Indian companies to get the business in UK.

India's new government

Article Abstract:

The new Congress-dominated United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government in India attempts to put its own stamp in the face of the opposing parties in regard to foreign and security policies and its success purely depends on the past governments achievements especially concerning India-Pakistan peace process. The functional changes observed were the measured policy formulations with a greater transparency but with an obvious disadvantage of implementing policies due to bureaucracy.

"Lean and mean we want to be"

Article Abstract:

Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Dynamics Ltd, Maj. Gen. P. Mohandas, VSM (Retd.), stresses on the 'mantra' that they do not compromise on quality and state that the Company is designated as the nodal agency to build further life into the older air defense missile in India. He also states that its aim is to be lean and mean and churn out economically viable and cost effective products.
