Israel predicts increased prominence of UAVs

Article Abstract:

A senior Israel air force official has predicted that the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will increasingly take over from manned fighter aircraft and attack helicopters over the coming years. According to Colonel Hagi Topolanski, head of the planning and organization department in the Israel Defense Force, Air Force (IDF/AF), the UAVs assume a more prominent position in mission types such as aerial protection, air support and even air superiority.

'Anti-terrorist' Dzik APV uses Italian chassis

Article Abstract:

The Polish-based AMZ Kutno special vehicles company has developed a technically sound armoured patrol vehicle (APV) called Dzik, based on the Italian SCAM SM55 all-terrain truck chassis. The new Dzik vehicle will be used by the anti-terrorist agency as an armored patrol and intervention vehicle.
