Italian Army takes delivery of 'Soldato Futuro'

Article Abstract:

Italian Army took delivery of the 'Soldato Futuro' future soldier system ensemble that was under development by a consortium headed by Selenia Communications at the end of 2004. Selenia, the prime contractor reports that the first Phase II integrated prototype ensemble is due to be delivered at the end of 2005, 2008 being the currently anticipated in-service date.
