Italy and the A400M programme: the time for follies is over

An overview is presented on the Italian Air Force's purchasing considerations regarding military transport aircraft, and concludes that a contract with Airbus Military Co. to purchase the A400M would not be in the Air Force's best interests, as the Air Force does not have a requirement for it nor the financial and staffing resources to purchase and operate it.
