The 'single-battle' concept is one of the basic principles of Marine Corp planning. Within this concept, centralized planning is critical, as available forces must be coordinated and controlled.

Joint logistics warfighting initiative: a catalyst for change; how to link up realistically in a joint initiative

An examination of the Joint Logistics Warfighting Initiative is presented. Through the use of shared data environment, wireless local area networks, and Web-based requisitioning, there can be an acceleration of logistics.
