Last stop before Iraq

Article Abstract:

The Combined Forces Land Component Command (CFLCC) C-3 Training Section conducts the convoy live-fire exercise, a two-and-a-half day formal training course for the soldiers, that incorporates the lessons learned from previous combats. The training is basically a live-fire contact drill conducted during convoy operations, with the purpose of giving soldiers confidence to shoot on the move and get themselves out of a bad situation.

Helping Iraq: A Block-by-Block battle

Article Abstract:

The process of rebuilding and the efforts undertaken by the United States soldiers in rebuilding Iraq under the Block-by-Block program is described. Under this program, the US soldiers tried to clean up and rebuild one single city block at a time before moving to the next block and tried to complete as many blocks as possible depending upon the time and funds allocated.

The last battle

Article Abstract:

The 551st Parachute Infantry Battalion, on February 23, 2001, received official recognition for its heroic action in World War II. The battalion suffered massive casualities in cutting off the escape route of a German division in Belgium.
