Leading the information war

Article Abstract:

The leadership of Marine in innovative thinking for warfare concepts has lead a military transition to a new way of thinking about battles and battlefields that includes a functional concept for information operations (IO) in the Information Age. This effort should redefine IO terms applicable to confronting terrorism and small wars, as well as conventional foes, establish a structure to lead IO, and clarify the roles and missions of units and the roles and mission of units within that structure to achieve success.

Barracks ball- November 2003

Article Abstract:

The history of the Marine Corps is remembered by the former Director of the U.S. Marine Corps Band at the Marine Barracks, 8th & I Birthday Ball in 2003. He reflected on the sacrifices made by the Marines and their families for the sake of the country and about the Marine Corps' outdistancing of the American society in leadership, managing social issues and upholding the Corp's values.

What is an EMW capability list?

Article Abstract:

The expeditionary maneuver warfare (EMW) capabilities are readily available for review, development and updating as the Marine Corps are identifying the combat capabilities that might be required in the future. The EMW capability list (ECL) provides a tool to help in the development and construction of the future Operating Forces in the coming years.
