The US Marines train and fight under the philosophy 'the best defense is at strong defense' and help restore their internal and external control and effectiveness and ease their anxiety during wars. They regain confidence and courage through their collective effort and demonstrate their Constitution's most fundamental principle that proclaims that 'Every American is the Government of the United States'.

Generating ideas through a culture of innovation

Article Abstract:

The construction of a well-thought-out digital suggestion box is proposed that would motivate members of the marine service operational forces, through rewards, to submit their new ideas to an idea manager and idea committee, and would allow Marine Corps best harness their creative energies. Guidelines to construct a digital idea vault and innovation page on the Internet are provided.

The family of concepts

Article Abstract:

The hierarchy of concepts capitalizes on the Marine Corps operational, functional, enabling concepts and dynamic warrior ethos that are mutually supporting, integrated with the naval partners and appropriate for meeting current and future operational and strategic challenges. Some of the operational concepts and doctrines that are developed by the Marine Corps are given in detail.
