Long-range performance is key for new Diver Detection Sonar

Article Abstract:

Israeli sonar, acoustics and systems house dsIT Technologies has completed the development and qualification testing of a new Diver Detection Sonar (DDS) that is designed to provide protection for ports, high-value coastal facilities and critical offshore installations. The DDS system comprises a PC-based command-and-control facility linked by a fibre optic link to a number of sonar nodes positioned on the sea bed and it is the only system available that is able to reliability achieve long-range detection of closed breather divers.

TRML-3D radar has an air of co-ordination

Article Abstract:

EADS Defence Electronics (Ulm, Germany) has predicted that the sales of its truck-mounted TRML-3D C-band air-defence radar and co-ordination system will increase over the next few years, with two or three new sales expected in Europe and Southeast Asia at the end of 2006. TRML-3D is a land-based derivative of the naval TRS-3D radar, where its primacy radar core is identical to that of TRS-3D from a logistic point of view.
