Dutch show compound interest with force-protection tool plan

Article Abstract:

A new force-protection tool, demonstration of integrated sensors for compound security (DISCUS) designed to enhance the security of compounds is developed by Thales Nederland under a project that was part of the Netherlands contribution to Defense Against Mortar Attacks (DAMA), a multinational program that is taking place under NATO's Defense Against Terrorism effort. The system comprises surveillance radars, thermal imaging camera and command and control element, all linked to a single network.

ISIS is deployed to Liberia on board the LPD Rotterdam

Article Abstract:

The Royal Netherlands Army (RNLA)'s command-and-control information system integrated staff information system (ISIS) is deployed in a maritime context during the deployment of the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN) landing platform dock (LPD) to Liberia. The ISIS system designed to enable the users to maintain and update information about ongoing land operations on a digital map is presented.

NATO plans summits to map out its future shape as deployed operations increase

Article Abstract:

NATO is planning three major summits in Riga, Brussels and Washington DC in order to plan its future, as the number of deployed operations has increased. Some of the plans for the summits include discussing force transformation, discussing further enlargement of the alliance and to celebrate NATO's 60th anniversary.
