Modern navy missiles march on

Article Abstract:

The major naval operations of the past few years, such as the 'Enduring Freedom' in the Arabian Sea focused on countering international terrorism. Due to the threat faced by the navies of the 21st century, the naval procurement in the recent years have become concerned with enhancing the force-protection and self-defense capabilities of surface warships and submarines. Thus, an overview of the leading ship-based and helicopter-borne anti-ship missile systems that are offered by the present day navies is presented.
