Manpower support for the war on terror: Is 'groupthink' the modus operandi?

Article Abstract:

'Groupthink' is the mode of thinking that people engage in when consensus on a course of action is deemed so essential that realistic opinions on alternate courses are ignored. It is suggested that Marine Corps should be aware that they might be victims of groupthink in their approach in participating in the global war on terrorism (GWOT), while identifying symptoms of groupthink which might lead to disastrous results, and recommending recognition of dissenting voices during policy making.
