Supporting the global war on terrorism

Article Abstract:

The continued involvement of the US Army Special Operations Command's (USASOC) in the global war on terrorism and the ongoing demand for special operations forces has necessitated tremendous changes. The USASOC is trying to accomplish the changes through the creation of new Futures Center, and the transformation of the Special Forces training program, combat service support units and Special Forces units.

USASOC: Fully engaged in the global war on terrorism

Article Abstract:

The U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), a smallest major Army command consisting of slightly more than 26,000 personnel's are involved in supporting the global war on terrorism after the 9/11 attacks. USASOC soldiers are trained and equipped to fight secretive and hidden enemy forces in Iraq, Afghanistan and other hot spots around the globe.

Special operations is playing a larger role in major conflicts

Article Abstract:

The business of the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) is being a force provider to the warfighting commanders. The bulk of USASOC's planning is making sure the right people with the right equipment and necessary supplies are at the right place at the right time.
