Marine corps business transference

Article Abstract:

The study describes some of the Marine Corps warfighting skills that transfer well to the business world with use of the National Security Personnel System. It also discusses one device the Marines can use to ensure that their vision and skills are transferred to the civilian Marines who need them, thus helping the civilians achieve a delicate balance between the Marine Corps' mission and the Civil Service Commission.

Tapping Marine Corps reserve manpower

The Reserve Marines possessing critical civilian and military skills can post their experiences and qualifications on different web sites that are accessible to both Active and Reserve components. The Reserve Duty Online is one such web site that was developed and fielded in March 2001, which advertises Reserve Duty opportunities for the Reserve Marines.

The Marine Corps' deep battle: career force retention

Article Abstract:

The retention in the Marine Corps has created lots of problems for the Commandment of the Marine Corps. The decreasing force retention rates, escalating first-term alignment plan (FTAP) and a shrinking career force are the major problems faced by the combat leaders.
