Marine corps science and technology

Article Abstract:

The division between the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) and Office of Naval Research (ONR) due to fiscal investment in Marine Corps science and technology (S&T) intents to provide a balanced portfolio on investment across the overall needs of the Marine Corps combat and material development processes. Some of the research areas of primary interest to the Marine Corps are presented.

Why an experimental combat operations center; information technology is having a dramatic impact on how critical operational information will be provided through shared databases

Article Abstract:

The experimental combat operations center concept originated at the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory and the Extended Littoral Battlespace Advanced Concepts Technology Demonstration Program Office. The concept makes use of the latest information technology to support warfare operations.

Achieving future capabilities

Article Abstract:

The US Department of Defense invests billions of dollars in science and technology for infusing the Operating Forces with technologies needed to meet future combat needs. Some of the technologies introduced by the Marine Corps' are weapons optics, unmanned aerial systems and ground robots.
