Marine tactical PsyOp teams

Article Abstract:

The Marine Corps needs its own tactical physiological operations (PsyOp) team capability in order to provide force protection and Information Operation (IO)-shaping capability at the tactical level based on evolving generations of warfare, an increasing lack of resources, and a need for IO superiority. In practice, PsyOp is a force multiplier, resource saver, and non-lethal weapons system that provide the commander a battlefield-shaping tool as well as a means for force protection.

Preparation for transformation: Driving the dialogue in the Marine air command and control system evolution

Article Abstract:

A detailed case study that includes steps, strategies, and best practices for tackling the important first steps in transformation through supporting the Marine air command and control system (MACCS) community is presented. Getting engaged in consensus-building workshops, and conducting an economic order quantity analysis are the two initial steps recommended for supporting the upfront planning for transformation.
