Marines and the media; how to make the media less threatening to Marines in the field

Article Abstract:

Members of the media will frequently approach military personnel in the field and it would be beneficial if Marines had training in the basic techniques of dealing with such a situation. Generally, contact with the media was well handled during the Desert Storm operation, and the Marines' story reached a worldwide audience.

Forward Air Controllers (FACs) are the six others billets filled by esecond tourE Naval Aviators within each table of organization regiment but are an expensive luxury. The FACEs functions as laid down by the Military Occupational Specialty are discussed.
