Mess night

Article Abstract:

The prominence of Mess Nights among the Marines, which is usually considered as a formal affair but often turns into a ravenous affair, is described. The U.S. Marine Mess Nights are much milder when compared to the British Mess Nights and there are many ways the U.S. Marine Corps have led the Royal Marines, but in Mess Nights the British have always excelled.

It's all relative

Article Abstract:

The Marines deployed in a combat zone does not forget the perspective of their families, friends and loved ones who wait of their return to their native places. The feelings of the Marine's for their loved ones and their duty towards the nation and the ultimate mission that supports Operations Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom are described.

'Marine for life' helps Marines

Article Abstract:

The main aim of the Marine for life (M4L) is to provide the power of human networking to the Marines returning back to civilian life after active service. The phase I of the M4L program was completed successfully in fiscal year 2002 and achieved initial operating capability under the guidance of Gen. James L. Jones.
