Motovilikha proposes 120 mm mortar fit for Russia's 2S1 self-propelled howitzer

Article Abstract:

Motovilikha Plants Corporation of Russia has invited proposals to fit the 120 mm 2A80 rifled ordinance on Russia's 2S1 self-propelled howitzer, replacing the earlier gun. The advantage of this system is that it can fire both Russian as well as European mortar bombs.
