Mr. Caron's opus

Article Abstract:

The Technology Education Department at Kingswood Regional High School in New Hampshire offers courses in aerospace, computer-assisted design, electricity and digital electronics. The school's aerospace program, taught by Daniel W. Caron who was named 2004 Teacher of the Year by the Aerospace Education Foundation, is discussed.

Article Abstract:

The super carrier XC-99, one of the history's largest planes would be reassembled, restored and enshrined at the Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio. A company news release noted that the six engines of the XC-99 developed as much horsepower as five locomotives and the engines weighed more than 10 tons.

Controllers

Article Abstract:

Combat controllers are special tactics specialists who control air strikes and assault landings from forward positions. Enlisted terminal attack controllers call in and direct close air support aircraft. Controllers are trained in air traffic control and provide a vital air-to-ground interface.
