Hungarian Air Defence

Article Abstract:

The roles and missions of Hungarian Air Defence and also the current assets and future-oriented procurement plans are discussed. The possible missions for Air Defence Forces under the command of the 12th ADA Brigade includes participation in Article V operations, providing air defence coverage for army units participating in state border security operations, providing base defence for air bases, providing air defence coverage for a maneuvering battalion-size light infantry unit and participation in Disaster Relief Assistance.

Romanian Air Defence

Article Abstract:

The roles and missions of Romanian Air Defence and also the current assets and future-oriented procurement plans are discussed. The major communications assets includes the ground-to-air-to-ground radio network for Air Policing and the major acquisition programme of the Romanian Air Force includes the multi-role combat aircraft along with medium transport aircraft, high-altitude long-range surface-to-air missile systems (HSAM) and upgrading the FPS radar systems.
