Article Abstract:

The U.S. Department of Defense and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency are developing an array of new military aerial, imaging and communications systems. The new high-tech equipment, such as SIGNIT and literal imaging sensors, has led military leadership to the conclusion that such systems must be fully integrated.

The U.S. Department of Defense is developing a new digital communications system known as the Extending the Littoral Battlespace Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration. The system, which is designed to improve tactical units communications' capabilities, is described as a means for waging war in the Information Age.

Marines' Dragon Eye

Article Abstract:

The U.S. Marine Corps played a key role in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The USMC's Interim Small Unit Remote Scouting System helped to develop the Dragon Eye UAV program as a means for enhancing company commander's capabilities.
