Oman selects VT group for Khareef OPV build

Article Abstract:

Oman has selected UK-based support services and shipbuilding company VT Group as preferred bidder for the country's Project Khareef Ocean Patrol Vessel (OPV) programme in 2006. The project Khareef calls for design, construction and support of three helicopter-capable OPVs for the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) and the total contract, including initial support, is worth in excess of GBP400 million.
