Operation-centric warfare: the bold shift

Article Abstract:

Information age technologies will allow the US Army to make two important leaps from platform-centric to network-centric engagements and from plan- centric to operation-centric warfare. To execute these leaps, the intellectual capacity which the Army employs in developing its weapons systems is essential. The bold shift to operation-centric warfare will not only ensure preparedness for the next war but will also ensure that the Army will not have a near-equal military rival.

With the inception of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, CFC demonstrated a combined readiness that guaranteed there would be no miscalculations by North Korea that would undermine the ROK-US alliance.
