Korea selects British Aerospace combat management system

Article Abstract:

British Aerospace PLC's Surface Ship Command System (SSCS) has been chosen by the Republic of Korea Navy to be the combat management system onboard its second batch of domestically-manufactured KDX-2 destroyers. The difference between the SSCS and the system supplied for the KDX-1 is that the SSCS will have an improved anti-air warfare capability since the KDX-2 will be equipped with the Standard Missile 2 instead of the Raytheon RIM-& Seasparrow. British Aeorospace is also likely to supply the combat management system for the KDX-3.
