Orders put latest radio into production

Article Abstract:

Production orders from both the US Air Force (USAF) and US Army have pushed Thales Communication to enter production with the latest version of the AN/PRC-148, the JTRS [Joint Tactical Radio System] Enhanced MBITR (Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio) (JEM). The JEM radios will provide warfighters with enhanced compatibility with future Software Communications Architecture (SCA)-compliant waveforms.

US Army tests protector RWS enhancements

Article Abstract:

The US Army has begun testing on a Block I upgrade for its Protector Remote Weapon Stations (RWS). The upgrade package, which features a new uncooled Thermal Imaging Module (TIM) from BAE Systems, will enhance the capabilities of the US Army's Stryker Brigade Combat Teams (SBCT).
