Our Mesopotamian foes: Just who are they?

The American public is better informed about the initial assault and the day-to-day follow-on combat actions on Iraqi highways and rubble-strewn streets than it was about any other war in its history. Nevertheless, however abundantly the flow of friendly information, it does not include much about the enemy.

Iraq through the prism of American experience

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted for determining troop requirements for occupation and pacification of Iraq in the wake of the U.S. military offensive. The study concluded that a force of about 100,000 American troops would be necessary to effectively occupy a country of Iraq's size, population and circumstances.
