Pocket full of AFCK

Article Abstract:

Benchmade's Advanced Folding Combat Knife (AFCK) features a scalpel-sharp ATS-34 blade made of carbon, chromium and Molybdenum. The BTS model has an additional coating of a Teflon-based polymer for corrosion resistance. The AFCK is available in four models and feature ergonomic handles with G-10 scales and double titanium liners. The AFCK also features a clip which closes instead of opening it should the knife open slightly in a pocket.

DRS gets the picture

Article Abstract:

DRS Hadland has supplied the SVR II Ballistic Range Camera to the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The SVR II is a computer-controlled camera developed for high-speed ballistic photography. It will be used to determine the structural integrity and verify the design performance of a new gun-launched rocket-assisted projectile. It was able to develop high- resolution pictures that showed the projectile moving at 2,650 feet per second.

Running flat out

Article Abstract:

Hutchinson Industries Inc has been making run-flat inserts and wheels for military vehicles for more than 40 years. The inserts have been approved by Nato and US military vehicle agencies. The inserts and beadlocks are intended to perform in paved surfaces, off road conditions, mud or sand at very low air pressures. The run-flats are lightweight, reusable and ballistic-resistant.
