Article Abstract:

The fate of one Lebanese detainee has delayed the negotiations between Israel and Lebanese Hizbullah to exchange hundreds of Arab prisoners for four Israelis. Many Israelis are uncomfortable with the governmentEs decision to negotiate with Hizbullah, who has warned that it would kidnap more Israelis if the talks do not materialize, raising fears of violence along the ever-volatile frontier between Lebanon and Israel.

Post-Israel stability in south Lebanon

Article Abstract:

Israel's withdrawal of military forces from south Lebanon deprived Syria of an important bargaining strategy, and left Hizbullah with no legitimate reason to continue its attacks on Israeli troops. The new alignment is examined.
