Article Abstract:

The projected continued importance of the Main Battle Tank (MBT) in future warfighting scenarios ensures the need for more efficient tank transports and tank transporters. Because military aircraft transporters are very expensive to operate, wheeled tank transporters are the vehicle of choice when it comes to transporting MBTs for medium- to long-range deployments, especially when no dedicated railway network is available.

Scout/Recce vehicles: towards a new generation

Article Abstract:

Many armies are taking greater interest in scout, reconnaissance and observation/surveillance vehicles. New generation of scout/recce vehicles are greatly benefiting from advances in relevant tehnologies such sensors and optronics. The latest sensor suites for scout/recce vehicles consist of high-resolution CCD-TV camera, CCD-TV camera with built-in image intensifier, IR thermal imaging camera and laser range finder.
