PzH2000, G6 break range records with V-LAP

Article Abstract:

Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) on April 17, 2006 announced that it had successfully used the M2005 Velocity enhanced Long-range Artillery Projectile (V-LAP) variant of Denel's Assegai Joint Ballistics Memorandum of Understanding (JBMOU)-compliant 155 mm artillery projectile to achieve a range in excess of 56 km. The achievement is remarkable because of the excellent consistency that was achieved with a probable error of only 0.38 per cent or range fired.
