Rafael toughens explosive reactive armour

Article Abstract:

Israel's Rafael Armament Development Authority is producing a new form of explosive reactive armor (ERA), which represents the fourth generation of ERA that incorporates new features and exploits experience gained with the earlier versions. An innovative low-burning rate (LBR) explosive is the most important novel feature of the new armor and it is incorporated in a hybrid type of reactive armor.

Metal storm multibarrel pod system progresses

Article Abstract:

The Australian-developed Area, Convoy and Fixed Asset Defence System (ACFADS) from Metal Storm have achieved significant program milestones with successful range firings. The 24-barrel pod has an overall width of around 80cm, a height of 40.5cm and length of 44.5cm, which is able to inductively fire 96 40mm grenades in both direct-and indirect-fire modes using, rifled barrels.

UK enlists Dynamit Nobel for provision of British Army's anti-structures munition

Article Abstract:

The UK Minister for Defense Procurement has awarded a GBP40 million contract to Dynamit Nobel Dynamics to deliver the British Army's future Anti-Structures Munition (ASM). The ASM is a disposable single-shot weapon based around the company's PzF 90 launcher, which also provides the basis for the Singaporean Manportable Anti-Tank, Anti-DoOR dual-purpose weapon.
