Rank advocacy

Article Abstract:

Marine Corps University (MCU) in fall 2005 institutionalized its focused effort in collecting and consolidating identified Professional Military Education (PME) requirements for incorporation into the curricula and/or Marine Corps PME policy by publishing the rank advocacy policy for PME, creating a single billet to act as a proponent at al levels within the PME continuum. Rank advocates define, represent, and are proponents for the accepted Marine Corps PME philosophy and/or policy positions for a specific rank or group of ranks.

Enlisted PME transformation

Article Abstract:

The limitations of the enlisted professional military education (EPME) to either the individual courses at the staff noncommissioned officers academies or corresponding distance learning courses administered by the Marine Corps Institute (MCI), has undergone a transformational change. This transformation of the EPME would not only meet the Marine Corps' guidance for enlisted education, but also provide the tactical commander with a dynamic decision maker.
