Rifle marksmanship in the 300-meter belt

Article Abstract:

The 20th century has seen rifle fire on battlefields generally limited to a 300-meter range beyond the frontlines, however there are many variables within this zone. There is visual reach up to 300 meters, but physical, psychological, and equipment considerations must also be considered.

The Marine Martial Arts Program and the training of one rifle company

Article Abstract:

Participation in the pilot program for introducing the Marine Martial Arts Program is described. The program was judged to be a success, as 130 Marines received extensive close combat training, and several went on to become instructor trainers.

Marksmanship in the Marine Corps

Article Abstract:

The Marine Corps' reputation for superb marksmanship has been deteriorating, but this can be corrercted through proper training. Marksmanship instruction with the infantry weapons training unit is described.
