Looking to the next war: Improving the combat engineer battalions

Article Abstract:

The combat engineer battalions (CEBs) are required to take stock of their personnel, equipments and training and also determine the best ways to prepare for the next war or conflict. The CEBs are designed to use explosives and heavy equipments to breach minefields and other obstacles to continue the attack and fight an infantry and the combat engineers are assigned to force service support groups (FSSGs) and the Marine aircraft wings.

Engineers in support of today's Combined Arms Exercise

Article Abstract:

The Combined Arms Exercise is a live obstacle course training program designed to integrate and make use of all types of firepower. It is important that Marine Corps engineers understand their part in the exercise, and relevant points are discussed.

Engineering training consolidation

Article Abstract:

A discussion is made on whether or not the training of engineers within the Marine Corps should be consolidated, and if so, where. Regarding this, the pros and cons of collocation of Army and Marine Corps engineer schools are discussed.
