Training for tomorrow's battles: U.S. Second Fleet focuses on improved combat readiness

Article Abstract:

The United States (U.S.) Second Fleet plans to concentrate on improving their combat readiness to prepare the battle groups for wars in the future. The success of the Second Fleet as trainers could be attributed to their capability to stay in touch with current military operations around the world and their ability to adapt to real threats.

Studies aim to refocus urban training, tactics

The studies of the Defense Department are centering around modern-day warfare with training concentrating on joint operations and tactics focusing on integration of ground and air assets. Precision-strike capability would be the new face of Urban Skills Training curriculum.
