Rosvooruzheniye exposed

Article Abstract:

Rosvooruzheniye of Russia has been exposed as making erroneous claims reagrding its performance amidst decreasing arms exports with total sales at less than $2 billion in 1998 for a fall of around $1.5 billion from 1996, based on audit results. The state arms dealer already posted an $800 million decrease in arms sales at the end of 1997. Certain defense entities are also questioning the practice of passing through Rosvooruzheniye before they are permitted to export their products though some are accepting that fact.
