Russia aims to make MiG-35 fighter the pinnacle of 'Fulcrum' development

Article Abstract:

Russia's MiG-35 is a serious competitor for India's Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft requirement, offering air-to-surface capability. Russia and India is preparing to transition to a higher level of military-technology co-operation and in December 2005, an agreement was to be signed between the two countries on common development of Medium Transport Aircraft.

Russia's proposed pipeline patrollers display a distinct military pedigree

Article Abstract:

The Russian BLA-06, proposed as a system for observation of pipelines and detection of gas and oil leaks, also has many purely military attributes. It is the first Russian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) featuring retractable landing gear, making it capable of operating from normal airfields or roads, and also includes stealth features.

Transitional role: Sukhoi plans T-10BM fighter's two-track production strategy

Article Abstract:

Sukhoi's T-10BM (Bolshaya Modernizatsiya or Major Modernization) of its Su-27/35 fighter is expected to make its maiden flight in 2007 and be ready to go to market in 2009-10. The major changes in the Su-27SM2/Su-35 include new radar, new avionics, new weapons and upgraded engines.
