Article Abstract:

Ambassador J. Cofer Black, US Department of State Co-ordinator for Counterterrorism commented that the administration of President George W. Bush is concerned about the presence of international terrorist groups in the region and their use of illegal immigration routes from Latin America to enter the USA. He reinforced US support for Colombia's counterterrorism efforts by delivering US$ 25 million to boost an anit-kidnap programme.
