Siemens power for the Spanish LPD

Article Abstract:

The new LPD contract has been awarded to Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services Group on the order from the Spanish Navy with propulsion technology and power engineering. Siemens is responsible for the complete drive technology and power engineering for the ship, and two Siemens Schottel podded propulsion units would be used as the main propulsion units with an output of 11MV at 176 rpm, the rotating propulsion pods, making the ships highly maneuverable.

News: New command and control information system for the German Army

Article Abstract:

The German Federal Office for Information Management and Information Technology of the Federal Armed Forces has signed a contract with FuInfoSys Heer for a new command and control information system. Nearly 1,500 vehicles of the German Army will be equipped with the first production batch of the system by 2012.
